Frequently asked questions
FAQ
We have answered some of the most frequently asked questions about purchasing and shipping our coffee lots.
Why buy Miraflores coffee?
How does the Geisha raised in Miraflores differ from those of other origins?
The Geisha from Finca Miraflores is distinguished by its terroir—the unique soil conditions, microclimate, and altitude—which allow it to adapt exceptionally well to this region of the Amazon.
Here, temperatures can be cool at certain times of the year, which contributes to a slower ripening of the fruit, and conversely, to a more intense and pronounced concentration of flavors. It’s not just the seed that makes the difference, but the varietal’s adaptation to its environment.
How long does shipping take once the order is confirmed?
From the confirmation of purchase through the signing of the contract until shipment, ideally between 45-60 days approximately.
Is there a minimum quantity for wholesale orders?
Yes, by air it’s 50 kilos per variety (totaling a minimum order of 200 kilos).
By sea it’s 200 kilos per variety (totaling a minimum order of 2000 kilos).
Can I request samples before placing an order?
Yes. At Finca Miraflores, we send representative samples of each available Single Origin Specialty Coffee, along with the corresponding technical information.
This allows each customer to evaluate the quality and cup profile before confirming their purchase.
How can I book a guided tour of the estate?
Potential clients can request a visit through the contact section of our website. Our sales team will conduct a brief preliminary assessment to coordinate the visit with the General Manager and the Head of Operations.
For current clients, the process is more straightforward and can be arranged directly with the General Manager. Visits are only available between June and November, when the farm is in full production. From December to March, visits are not available due to the rainy season and the coffee flowering period.
